Tī Dungrī : The Zero Waste Dungaree

Through all my learning about the fashion industry, and its disproportionate way of operating, the only way I can continue to participate in it is to create something that truly represents my values and enables me to support my human potential while creating a narrative for you to find yours too.

A zero-waste product made from waste materials, repairable, handmade for longevity with love and purpose.

Respecting Papatūānuku by diverting textiles from landfills and adding value to wasted resources.

Tī Dungrī honours the local and global nature of the industry to highlight the human potential we can all embody one day.

Tī (noun) names something

Dungrī "A coarse cotton stuff, generally blue, worn by sailors" [Century Dictionary, 1897], 1610s, dongerijns, from Hindi dungri "coarse calico," said to be from the name of a village, now one of the quarters of Bombay. Dungarees "trousers made of dungaree" is by 1868.

Etymology: 17th Century: from Hindi dungrī, after Dungrī, district of Mumbai, where this fabric originated
